Shooting at Harvard

　この前日にハーバード大学で演奏したばかりだったのですが、なんとこの日、同大学の寮で発砲事件があり、ハーバードではない大学の学生が一人死亡したそうです。ハーバードはアメリカの最高学府ですからね、日本で言ったら、東大の駒場寮で発砲事件があったようなもんですかね。怖いですね。なんか、イヤ〜なニアミスでした。

I played at the Harvard Uni on the day before and on this day, there was a shooting incident at the dorm of Harvard and one non-Harvard college student was shot and killed. I was there on the day before. Boston is not so safe at all.

　ハラのトリオでジュールズでギグです。

これが私の大好きなムール貝料理でございます。たぶん白ワインと塩で蒸して（又は煮て）あります。めっさウマいです。 This is my favorite dish of mussels. I think it is simmered (or steamed) in white wine and salt.

Mrs. Pat Everist

　この日、私がオーストラリアで一番お世話になったホストマザーのパットさんが亡くなりました。

　このエントリーがどうしても書けずにブログの更新が遅延してしまいました。皆様、どうもすみませんでした。パットの事で書く事は山ほどあるのですが、やっぱりまだ書けません。私に新しい人生をくれた人でした。後日、また書きます。

My host mother in Australia, Mrs. Pat Everist, passed away on this day. I owe her a great deal. She is the one who gave a new life to a screw-up like me. I have a lot to write about her but I am not ready to write just yet. My friends, I am so sorry for delaying on renewing this blog. I just cannot write any further. I will write about her someday. I miss her very much. May her soul rest in peace. I really wish she is happy with her daughter and her husband now, without any pain, without any worry about anything, and just rest.

Left on Red

　お友達のリアとケリーのバンド、レフト・オン・レッドを観に来ました。いつものように元気あふれる演奏を聴かせていただきました。

I came to see Liah and Kelly's unit, Left on Red. They were powerful as always and I enjoyed their energetic performance.

　私がまだ日本にいた中学と高校時代に好きだった忌野清志郎氏が亡くなりました。かっこいいオッサンでしたね。こうやって、何かを貫いて生きている人は本当に尊敬します。自由に音楽を楽しんでいた人だと思います。私は若い頃、ただただ、こういう人間になりたかったです。

　ご冥福をお祈りします。

One of the biggest Japanese rock'n roller, Mr. Kiyoshiro Imawano, passed away. I was a big fun of him when I was still a high school student in Japan. "The funkiest old man," that was my impression. Especially in those days, I really respected the people who were living their own lives in their own way. He was so free and just loved music. I wanted to be a man like that.

I pray his soul may rest in peace.
