International String Trio @ The Boathouse in the Central Park

　引っ越して休むヒマなくギグでございます。セントラル・パークの中にある湖畔にたたずむボートハウスでの結婚式のギグです。んまー、とにもかくにも寒い夜でございました。この日はすさまじい寒波がニューヨークを襲っていたのですが、寒い上にベースごと吹き飛ばされそうになる強風でございました。気分はもう皇帝ペンギンでございましたよ。こんな真冬の南極並みの寒さの中で働いているのは、ペンギンかシロクマかミュージシャンぐらいのものでございます。

Right after I moved all of my stuff to my new apartment, I went the today's gig right after without having a second of rest. The cold front really hit hard on New York City. The wind was also so strong and my bass was almost blown away. I was so March of the Penguins. Under this kind of severe weather like the Antarctica in Winter, only animals working outside are penguins, polar bears and musicians.
　なんでも、今日の新郎新婦は、だいぶ前から知り合いではあったらしいのですが、去年の大晦日に再会して付き合って結婚する事になったので、結婚式も大晦日にやろうということになったらしいです。カーッ、ムカつく。いや、いい話でございます。2008年を締めくくるのに、大変にハッピーな話でございました。良い結婚式でございました。

The bride and the gloom told us that they had known each other before they started dating and they met again on the New Year's Eve last year. That was why they decided to hold their wedding on the New Year's Eve. Wow, a good happy story to conclude the year 2008, eh? It was a very good wedding.
