I have safely reached Washington D.C. and Day 1 is over. Phew. GPS said that it was going to take only 7 hours from Boston to DC. From the first place, I knew that it was absolutely impossible to make it in 7; it actually took me more than 10. That's about right and I was expecting something like that. Having said that, I wish my assumption was wrong. Oh, I'm exhausted.
I got to the B&B in D.C. around 1:30am. There was a little surprise at the B&B. I saw a familiar Aussie flag at the place. Mmm? Is the owner from Australia? I so wanna talk to him about that in the morning.
Tomorrow (Apr. 15th, Fri), we'll be playing at The Treehouse Lounge in DC from 7:30pm. Hope some of you can make it!
Well, I'll pass out. Good night, friends.

Jessica Fichot East Coast Tour!
I'm off to nine-day tour. I'm going with the great singer/songwriter, Jessica Fichot, this time, and going all over East Coast. On the Day 1, I just have to drive 8 hours to Washington DC by myself. It is quite long, but come to think of it, I used to do this kind of long distance driving a lot when I was young. I'll be fine.
Right-O! Fellow East Coasters! Thank you for waiting! Traveling musician Ippei is finally coming back to your town!

Taking a classical lesson
I haven't got up at 5am for quite sometime. I woke up early and came to take an arco (bowing) lesson in outside of Boston. I'm falling asleep....

Performing at Fenway Park!
Today, I played at Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox and also the oldest ballpark in MLB. Though I had lived in Boston for ten years, I have never performed in here. I used to live at the apartment building right behind the ballpark and used to think that I wanted to become the musician who can perform such a huge place, which implies I would never be one. One of my dreams came true tonight without known.
To tell the truth, I have no idea about baseball or any other spectator sports, so I couldn’t really understand the gravity of the exhibitions in there, which Red Sox fans would be drooling. Those two trophies on the pic are especially important — so I’ve heard. They are the trophies of 2004 & 2007 World Series Championship (The one for 2013 is on the tour at the moment). Those trophies are usually not displayed. The security guards were standing right next to them and there was a large crowd of people around the trophies and taking pictures. Mmm, I see. If everyone says those trophies are big deal, they must be big deal.

Harvard Club in Boston
Ten days since the last tour. Ten days to the next tour. Phew. I’m living too peaceful days in Boston. I have been taking the dust out from the dryer and wiping water drops off from the wall of the shower room. (hey people, it’s best to clean the shower room five minutes every day than 30 minutes once a week). I’m so ready to go back on the road.
The pics are from the wedding gig on the last weekend after four months of wedding drought. Of course I haven’t been to the majestic church like this or the noble place like the Harvard Club for a while. Well, on the road, I was like living in wild like a baboon, so these things look so fresh now. Though the wedding musician might be more like my real occupation……

My friend, Kay-ta!
I enjoyed a little reunion with my old buddy and the great guitarist, Kay-Ta Matsuno!! He is touring with Greg Adams from Tower of Power! The band was outstandingly groovy! His guitar solos were super powerful! 😆😆😆 I already miss you, bro!

Wandering around in Boston
Taking a walk on the Longfellow Bridge.
I walked around Beacon Hill & Longfellow Bridge after a business meeting. Though I have toured and seen so many beautiful places, there are lots of beautiful views in everywhere right here in Boston!
