Oh my ear

　そのクイーンズのギグには体調が最悪のまま出ました。体調がどんなであれ、仕事は休めないのがこの商売です。ま、そうは言ってもプロですので、仕事はきっちりやりまして、結婚式も無事に終え、さっさと家に帰って床につくために地下鉄に乗りました。そしてその途中、事件は起こったのでございました。私は突然、左耳に痛みを覚えました。そんな激痛ではなく、ジンジンする痛みが数分の間隔でくるような感じでございました。まあ、また風邪の一症状が出てきたのだろうと思い、特に気にもとめていませんでした。しかし、この後、私は左耳の聴力がガクンと落ちている事に気づくのでありました。

　さあさあ、一平の耳はどうなってしまったのでしょうか。このあと数日後に一平は衝撃の事実を知ることになるのでありました。（またまた続く）

My condition was the worst but I did the gig and did it professionally and precisely. I filed out as quickly as possible and got on to a subway. The only thing I can think of is the bed in my room at that point. On the way to home, it happened. I felt a pain on my left ear all of a sudden. It was not an enormous pain or anything; it was a mild dull pain which comes and goes in every few minutes. I thought it was just another annoying symptoms of flu just had got started so I was not really paying attention to the new pain. Maybe I should have. I soon realized that I lost hearing on my left ear.
